General Questions

What area does Cleevely EV Mobile cover?

Cleevely Mobile covers the majority of Great Britain. We have technicians across the UK and can reach most locations. Please contact us, no matter where you are located, and we will do our best to book you in as soon as we can.

How early should I book my EV service?

We recommend scheduling your electric vehicle (EV) service well in advance, as our slots can fill up quickly. Current wait times are often 6-8 weeks, so we suggest booking at least two months ahead to reduce your wait time.

What’s the best way to contact Cleevely EV Mobile?

For the quickest response, please use the contact form on our website.

What are your office hours?

Our office operates from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday. We aim to respond to all enquiries submitted via our contact form within 2 working days.

Can I book a service over the weekend?

To support our technicians’ work-life balance, we do not offer weekend appointments. However, we can accommodate servicing at your workplace during the week if you’re unable to be home.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Our technicians are equipped to work in typical British weather conditions. In rare cases of extreme weather that might affect your appointment, we will work with you to reschedule. If available, a carport or large garage would be appreciated for service during poor weather.

Payment & Invoicing

How can I pay after my service?

After your service, you will receive a payment link via SMS and email from CEV Mobile. This link allows you to pay by card (Apple Pay not supported), or you can pay by BACS using the bank details on the invoice.

When is payment due?

Payment is due immediately upon receipt of the payment link. In cases of non-payment, reminders will be sent, and a £35 + VAT fee may apply if third-party collection services are required.

What is your minimum call-out charge?

We have a minimum call-out charge of £100 + VAT labour. Parts are not included in this minimum charge. This applies even for small jobs.

What if I need a copy of my invoice?

You can view your pro forma invoice via the payment link by selecting “Show Document (PDF)”. For a full invoice, please contact us at accounts@cleevelymobile.co.uk.

Do you work with third-party warranty companies?

Cleevely EV Mobile does not work with any third-party warranty companies. All invoices are issued directly to the customer, and payment must be made immediately upon receipt. If you have a warranty with a provider other than Cleevely EV, it will be your responsibility to arrange reimbursement from your warranty company after payment has been made to us.

Vehicle Eligibility & Servicing Policies

Do you work on all types of vehicles?

We only work on cars and vans from major manufacturers. We do not service kit cars, conversions, tools, plant machinery, quadricycles, or HGVs.

Does Cleevely Mobile service hybrids?

No, we are a pure electric vehicle specialist and only work with pure battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

Will using Cleevely EV Mobile Servicing affect my vehicle’s warranty?

No, under the Block Exemption Regulation (BER), your vehicle’s warranty remains valid as long as the service is performed by a VAT-registered provider like us. We follow standard EV maintenance protocols, ensuring that your manufacturer’s warranty is maintained.

What quality of parts do you use for EV servicing?

We use high-quality Original Equipment (OE) parts wherever possible. Our experience with various EV makes and models allows us to source the best-value parts in terms of performance and cost.

Who will service my EV?

Your vehicle will be serviced by one of our fully trained EV specialist technicians. Each technician undergoes extensive on-the-job training and holds EV-specific qualifications, supported by our team in Cheltenham for more complex issues.

Do I need to be present during the service?

It’s not necessary to be present during your EV service. Our technicians just need access to your vehicle, which can be facilitated by leaving a key in a safe place or with a neighbour.

Is off-street parking necessary for servicing?

Yes, off-street parking is required to service your EV. This includes private driveways or work car parks, and the space should be large enough to open all the vehicle’s doors.

Do you perform wheel alignment?

We cannot perform wheel alignment as part of our mobile service. If your suspension repair requires alignment, we recommend visiting a local wheel alignment workshop afterwards.

Should I check my wheel nuts after a service?

Yes, we recommend checking the tightness of your wheel nuts after driving 50 miles following our visit.

What if my vehicle is damaged during the service?

Any damage to bodywork, glass, or other areas must be reported before our technician leaves the site. We cannot accept claims for damage after the technician has left.

Battery & Charging

Will the technician need to use my charger?

While it’s not mandatory, allowing our technician to use your EV charger is appreciated. If used, we can reimburse the electricity cost upon request.

Do you supply 12V batteries?

No, we do not supply 12V batteries. We recommend ordering one from a supplier like Tayna.co.uk. We can install it if we’re already scheduled to visit, but we do not travel solely to fit a 12V battery due to our £100 + VAT minimum call-out charge.

MOTs & Workshops

Does Cleevely Mobile offer MOTs?

No, Cleevely Mobile focuses on providing expert EV servicing at your home or workplace. MOTs must be conducted at authorised MOT testing centres. We recommend visiting a certified MOT centre for this service.

Do you offer breakdown or urgent repairs?

We do not offer breakdown or urgent repair services. For in-depth diagnosis or urgent MOT repairs, you will need to visit our Cheltenham workshop. We can help arrange recovery with a third-party transport provider.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you request any cancellations as early as possible. Rescheduling is free of charge, but cancellations may incur a fee depending on the notice period.
